Daniel A. Gross focuses his practice on intellectual property litigation as well as trademark and copyright prosecution.

He is licensed to practice law before the courts of the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, and the State of South Carolina, and before the U.S. District Court for the District of South Carolina.  He received his Bachelor of Arts in International Politics from the Pennsylvania State University and his Juris Doctor from New England Law | Boston.

While in law school, Daniel focused his studies on trial practice and served as a student prosecutor for the Suffolk County District Attorney's Office in Boston, MA.  There he prosecuted defendants for various intellectual property crimes including music piracy and distribution of counterfeit trademarks.  One noteworthy case resulted in a sentence that included full financial restitution to the Recording Industry Association of America by the defendant.   He also assisted police and Special Prosecutors in a multi-state case involving millions of dollars in counterfeit designer goods.

After law school, Daniel represented numerous clients in complex real estate and land-use litigation where he further developed his courtroom skills.  He also represented court-appointed clients charged with major felonies.

Daniel has recently relocated his practice to Washington, DC, where he practices in the heart of our nation's capital just a few minutes' commute from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, the U.S. Copyright Office, and all courts in the District of Columbia.  He specializes in litigation that reviews the administrative record of patent and trademark applications, and offers trademark and copyright registration and counseling services.
